To all the H-A-T-E-R-S out there, any QB is only as good as the WRs he has to throw to and visa-versa. Even Joe Montana would have been nothing without all the weapons at his disposal. What makes Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, & Drew Brees great? They all have stud WRs to throw the ball to. As you can see, Tom Brady's numbers are down this year because he doesn't have the stud WRs he is use to having. Niners have been winning games without some of their top name players and will be getting those players back from injury soon. Watch out, Niners will be more and more deadly as the season progresses.
P.S. Kaepernick is Destined for Greatness!
Word has it that the 49ers are talking to the Cleveland Browns to trade for WR Josh Gordon. It would be a much needed upgrade to the 49ers offense. 49ers need to be more of an offensive threat and with Josh Gordon, he can be the deep threat the 49ers need.
Now that Crabtree is injured, the 49ers needed somehow to find that #1 WR. With luck and determination, the 49ers landed Anquan Boldin. A true gem that the Ravens underutilized and under-appreciated. His first debut as a 49er was a big hit. 13 catches 208 yards and 1 TD. Green Bay had no answer for him. KAEPERNICK has found himself a new target. Kaepernick with Boldin, Vernon Davis and Gore are going to kill it this year. 49ers are on their way to SuperBowl XLVIII at the MetLife Stadium. What luck to be able to get two SuperBowl rings back to back on two different teams.
It's been a long time coming, but he's back. KAEPERNICK! There is no slump from last year. He's right back where he left off. Worry about the read option if you want, but Kaepernick is not a read option QB. He's a QB who can run the read option but can also be a pocket passer or run on call. Take away the run, he'll kill you with the pass. Take away the pass, he'll kill you with the run. Defenses can stop one thing but not ALL things. Then there's Gore they have to worry about (Vernon David and Boldin too). And down goes Green Bay once again. They spent the off season trying to figure out the read option and how to contain Kaepernick. That's cool. . . then he'll just beat him with his arm. Beat Green Bay in last years playoffs (January13, 2013) with 181 yards rushing and 2 rushing TDs (not to mention the 263 yard passing and 2 TDs) and beat Green Bay season opener (September 8, 2013) with his arm 412 yards and 3 TDs (only rushing for 22 yards). He's only going to get better as time goes by.
It's a sad day in the Niner Nation. Yes the Niners played good but playing good is not enough. In the Superbowl, you have to be great and it doesn't matter if you got blown out, you lost by a little, or you almost won. The fact of the matter is, you still lost. It's going to be a L-O-N-G off season but best believe that the Niners will be back next year with a vengeance. Bring the pain. No mercy for the opponent. It's still the Quest for Six. Kaepernick will be the starting QB from the beginning of the 2013 season and each game he plays, he will be gaining the much needed experience to succeed. Kaepernick 7-2-1 as a starter. It'll only get better ONE DAY AT A TIME - ONE GAME AT A TIME.
P.S. Call it as you will but the Niners got robbed on the 4th down play when there was holding on Crabtree that wasn't called. What a way to go. It's a tough pill to swallow.
